Last week, John brought home a Christmas tree on his way home from work, it is very beautiful, we are still working on gathering more ornaments considering this is only our second time having a tree together... And yesterday we took Madalyn to get her picture taken with Santa... they turned out so cute, we should get them in the mail sometime next week. She didn't even cry, I was surprised considering while we were waiting in line she was starting to get pissy... Oh and she loves other kids too, she just enjoyed seeing other kids while in line it was too cute!

Madalyn's Many Faces....
This past Sunday, Madalyn turned four months... Tomorrow we go to the doctor for her four month checkup, and her shots :o( I hate taking her to get shots but I know we need to do it for her health.
I have taken several pictures in the past few weeks, and I am going to just one stop shop add em to the blog! We are also proud to announce that on December 1st Madalyn rolled over from her tummy to her back all by herself! She has done it a few more times since then, and I am currently trying to get it on camera (recorded) I tried this morning and the little stinker rolled over right after I shut the camera off!!!

I know everyone is busy getting ready for Christmas, and I hope everyone is doing well. All is well here, I am attaching photos of our Christmas lights, some randoms of Madalyn, as well as her four month photos...
Until next time stay healthy, and enjoy what December has to offer.

Happy Thanksgiving...
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving... We went down to Oregon for the holiday, and had quite a good time... The drive down was a little rough considering we were driving the night before Thanksgiving with everyone else who decided to go South as well. However after one stop to feed, and change Madalyn we made it home!
Our holiday was great, we had two dinners, one with John's family, and one with my family, and we had a great time. Unfortunately Madalyn is too young still to try the food, so next year will be fun to see how she does! :o)
We are now back in Washington, and getting the house decorated for Christmas, and enjoying quality time together.
Madalyn is growing well, and she will be four months next week. Which means SHOT time :o(. But I know she will do well, as she did great with her first set of shots. She is talking more too, which is oh so cute, she makes loud squeaking noises, then she scrunches up her face, with a look of "whoa where did that noise come from"!!!
I hope everyone is doing well and I will update again next week!

SNOW!!!
On Sunday afternoon it began to snow in Washington, something we are used to considering we lived in Colorado for about two and a half years. At first the snow was very light and in all honesty we thought it wouldn't be too bad. Come Monday the snow had really began to come down, sending John home early from work. Well Monday just continued to get worse, and we woke up this morning with John having his first ever "snow day" from work!!! That is an amazing fete considering the military. So today we had a beautiful day and about a foot of snow outside of our home. We are crossing our fingers for either a day off tomorrow as well, and or a late start to the work day, considering the roads will be icey. Here are some photo's of our first snow in Washington.

Three Months...
Madalyn turned three months on November 5th. She is getting cuter and cuter every day. She has found her eyes, and it's cute because she will rub her eyes with her hands. She sucks/chews on her hands which is oh so cute, and she smiles so big, and she has giggled twice, however both times she has giggled have been while she was sleeping. I am also proud to note to those of you who have known that she has been sleeping in our bed.... She is slowly but surely becoming accustomed to her own crib, and last night she slept for four hours in her crib! WOO HOO!!!
I hope everyone is doing well, and looking forward to the upcoming holidays, and Thanksgiving! I will update again after Thanksgiving.

A Few Weeks in Oregon.
John was in the field training for a few weeks, so I packed up Madalyn and drove down to Oregon to spend some quality time with our families. Being in the military we are not always guranteed this opportunity to be so close to our family, so I figured I might as well take the opportunity to spend time with our family as much as I can, not to mention that it is quite quiet and lonely at our home when John is not here.
Madalyn was able to bond with her grandparents, aunts, and cousins, and it was a ton of fun. She is coming out of her shell more and more each day. She wakes up with a huge smile on her face, and she is always happy to have someone talk and or sing to her. She just loves the attention, and soaks it all up. I couldn't imagine our lives without her, it's funny how that works, you think life is great when it's just the two of you, and then this little person enters your lives and you think WOW what was I missing!

Happy Halloween
Last Saturday we took Madalyn to her very first pumpkin patch and in true Northwest fashion it was raining. I know Madalyn won't remember her first trip to the pumpkin patch however I wanted to go for a photo op, and show her that no matter how old she is/was we were going to make sure she can experience everything we have to offer her, even if it means braving the rain and cold for a pumpkin! We took some oh so cute photo's and I am sure when she is older she will laugh at these photo's and think why did you guys do that to me! I hope everyone has a wonderful Halloween, I know we will, and I am looking forward to next year when we can take her trick-or-treating! Happy Halloween.

Baby oh Baby!
Well it has been a long time since I last updated our blog... Sorry about that! On August 5th we welcomed our little bundle of joy Madalyn Marie into our crazy life. She is such a joy to have and we love every little coo, smile, cry, and look she gives us. Madalyn is officially two months today, and tomorrow we are going to the doctor for her first round of shots. Definitely not looking forward to that, but we have to remember that the shots are for her health!
I hope everyone is doing well, and I will now try to keep this blog updated with every little milestone we achieve.
Love,
John, Christina and Madalyn

38 Weeks and Counting...
Today we are 38 weeks along... Just playing the waiting game now... Busy trying to make sure we have everything together for the arrival of Madalyn, and making sure the house is clean which in all honesty I never feel like it is clean enough!!! This pregnancy has been very easy, and we are just looking forward to meeting our little girl soon. We have a doctor's appointment scheduled for this Friday, and we will see if I am dilated or if there is anything going on. I have been having contractions, but nothing to the point of needing to rush to the hospital.
Here is a photo of me at 37 weeks.
I will post another update this Friday after our doctor's appointment. I hope everyone has a great week!

33 Weeks and Counting!
33 Weeks
Ok so I will admit I am horrible at maintaining "belly pictures", but I have included some 33 week photos, we officially have seven weeks until I am considered 40 weeks pregnant... All I can say is this pregnancy has been very easy; my first trimester was kind of hard because I was very exhausted, working full time, and we were in the process of moving, but other then the exhaustion I can truly say I have not had any major complications...
As the days roll by, and we move closer to her anticipated arrival I find myself getting more and more anxious. I cannot wait to meet her, I am dying to have her out so we can hold her, and kiss her... But at the same time a part of me thinks of how despite my body's growth I will miss the feel of her kicking me, most of all her recent jabs to the ribs!!!
I hope everyone is doing well, and I will keep you posted on our progress as the weeks pass, and we get closer to the new addition to our family :o)

Baby Shower
The very proud Aunt's!
My Bestfriend and I.
On June 19th my Mom threw my baby shower for me in Oregon, and it was a ton of fun... Quite a few people showed up, and we received tons of much needed supplies in preparation for little Miss Madalyn's arrival. I think everyone had a great time, and I am thankful for all of the wonderful friends and family members that were able to attend. Madalyn is going to be loved by many, and she is also going to be one spoiled little girl! Thank you to my Mother and everyone who helped put together such a fun and amazing shower.

Memorial Day Weekend Adventures!
Kortni and John
29 Weeks Pregnant
This year for Memorial Day we packed up and headed to Rockaway Beach to stay at John's parent's beach house, not only was it us, but the whole clan was there as well, and I think we all had an amazing time. It was just nice to be able to walk around the beach, roast marshmellows, and watch all the little kids run around, meanwhile in the back of our heads knowing next year little Madalyn will be joining her cousins in the chaos of running around, that is if she decides she want's to walk by then!!!
I hope all of you had an amazing holiday weekend.

25 Weeks and More
Well as of yesterday I am in my 25th week of this pregnancy, and things are going great. Madalyn moves all the time, and it's nice to feel her move, I think she is beginning to feel a little bit cramped in my stomach. We had our 24 week checkup today, and all is going well. They measured my stomach for the first time, and I am measuring at 24 cm, and the midwife re-affirmed that her ultrasound pictures look great, and she is a healthy baby.
Last Saturday John and I went to the Tacoma Dome to see Brooks and Dunn's Last Rodeo concert tour, it was great, the openers were Tyler Dickerson, and Jason Aldean, and Brooks and Dunn put on a pretty good show. Madalyn seemed to have enjoyed it as well, as she did kick at the beginning of each performer.
Tomorrow I am going to checkout a Zumba class, as I have felt like a blob lately, and need to get out and do something, I am hoping I will like it, and if I do they have classes three times a week, so we'll see.
Other then that everything is going well here in Washington, waiting for the rain to go away, and the sun to start visiting, and I am anxious for summer.
